Conaty says young player award 'a special moment'

Armagh's Oisin Conaty says his family, club, Armagh team-mates and the county management were all central to him winning the young footballer of the year award at the GAA All-Stars.

Conaty said that "without them......this wouldn't be possible".

"That’s how you achieve these awards in the end, winning the Sam Maguire with all those lads who push you on every night. The players, the management team and everyone else. It’s down to them. Not me," said Conaty, who was man of the match in Armagh's All-Ireland Final win over Galway.

Conaty insists that the Armagh squad's motivation to continue their success remains strong despite attaining Gaelic Football's holy grail.

"It’s time to be a great time not just a good team and great teams go and do it again. Not just once.

"When we get back to training, I’m sure that’s what Geezer and the lads will be pushing towards. They’ll not let us or our standards slip. It will be going for the next one again."
