Ronwen Williams: Best goalkeeper award nomination ‘surreal’
On 28 October, at football's prestigious Ballon d'Or ceremony in Paris, the best goalkeeper in the world named.
South African captain Ronwen Williams has been nominated - the first keeper who plays in Africa to be included on the shortlist for the Yashin Trophy.
Williams was Bafana Bafana's hero at the last Africa Cup of Nations, saving four penalties in a shootout against Cape Verde on the way to the semi-finals.
