'Covid complications almost cost me Olympic dream' - boxer Eccles
Boxer Rosie Eccles tells BBC Sport Wales she thought her Olympic dreams were over after suffering a rare complication where Covid-19 would repeatedly attack her nervous system.
Eccles, 27, has caught Covid four times and each time it has affected her brachial plexus - a network of nerves in her shoulder - or nerves in her leg.
After it cost her a place at the Tokyo Olympics, Eccles fought back to win Commonwealth gold in 2022 and has now been selected for the Paris Olympic Games.
