Wales are through to Northern Cup final following Scotland's 70-29 win over Singapore at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff.

The hosts had beaten Singapore 75-28 in the three nation tournament's opening match on Monday.

But Melissa Hyndman's team lost 43-36 to Scotland on Tuesday and needed the Thistles to beat Singapore to secure a place in Thursday's final.

Hyndman's side are using the event to prepare for July's Commonwealth Games.

Wales' team for the Glasgow-based games will be named in May.
