Promoter Eddie Hearn thinks Welsh boxer Lee Selby is an emerging superstar.

Selby, 27, has a WBC International featherweight title eliminator with Mexican Romulo Koasicha on Saturday in Cardiff's Motorpoint Arena.

And former World light-heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly makes his cruiserweight debut on the same bill.

"Lee Selby has emerged as a real superstar, especially in the featherweight division in British boxing," said Hearn.

"Selby should be okay, but it's a tough fight against a durable Mexican and a big night for Lee Selby as he moves towards that WBC title shot."

Hearn added that WBC International, British and Commonwealth champion Selby is top-10 ranked with most of the sport's governing bodies, so has plenty of options.

The Barry boxer hopes success on Saturday will lead to a world title challenge at featherweight - and is already dreaming of a clash with former WBO super bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire.

The Phillipines fighter faces Simpiwe Vetyeka in Macao in China on May 31 for the WBA Super World featherweight title.

And Selby believes he can beat Donaire.

"He's a superstar over in America, and I'd love to be in a fight with him. I think I can beat anybody," said Selby.
