Wales lost a nail-biting Snooker World Cup semi-final against China 'B' in Wuxi, China.

The team of Mark Williams and Michael White came back from 3-2 down to level the match, but Williams then lost the deciding frame to Zhou Yuelong.

White was frustrated with his personal performance: "I felt like I was the weaker player today. Mark won both his singles, I lost both of mine.

"I'm just bitterly disappointed really... it's a chance gone by."

White had to sit and watch Williams concede the final frame against Zhou.

"We both decided for him go on because he was the better player on the day, but Zhou's come in with one visit. They [China 'B'] were very good, but my singles performances weren't good enough - it's hugely disappointing."

Zhou and Yan Bingtao, who make up the China 'B' team, are both teenagers.

Zhou , 17, is ranked 75th in the world and 15-year-old Yan last year became the youngest winner of the World Amateur Championship.

China 'B' had already beaten an Australia team in the quarter-finals of 2010 world champion and current world number three Neil Robertson and Vinnie Calabrese.

The Chinese youngsters continued their impressive form in the final, beating Scotland 4-1.

The last time the event was staged in 2011 Williams and Matthew Stevens lost in the semi-final against eventual champions China.
