Welsh Netball has made Sarah Jones its permanent chief executive after she spent six months as interim boss.

Jones was named interim chief executive in June, 2015 following the resignation of Alun Davies.

She was the third Welsh Netball chief in a year as Davies' predecessor, Mike Watson, was in the role for six months.

"Sarah has worked very well with staff, stakeholders, sponsors and Sport Wales during her time with us," said Welsh Netball chair Catherine Lewis.

"And all this relationship building bodes well for the future."

Jones moved from Welsh Gymnastics to take over at the netball body.
