Welshman David Omoregie was happy despite having to settle for bronze in the final of the 110m hurdles final at the European Team Championships.

Omoregie finished third in a time of 13.36, behind winner Orlando Ortega and a split second behind second-placed Aurel Manga.

The 21-year-old Welshman won his heat at the Lille event for Great Britain in a season's best time of 13.34 seconds.

"I am so happy with a third place," Omoregie said.

"I feel in the right place in preparation for the rest of the years' events."

Omoregie won the European Under-23 title in 2015 after he took bronze at the 2014 World Junior Championships.

His efforts in Lille helped Great Britain finish fourth overall as Germany won.
