Summerhayes scored a best run of 71.40 to see off competition from Russia's Valeria Demidova.

Great Britain's Molly Summerhayes has won the halfpipe title at the FIS Freestyle Junior World Championships in Valmalenco, Italy.

The 17-year-old younger sister of world slopestyle silver medallist Katie Summerhayes scored 71.40 on her second run, beating 15-year-old Valeria Demidova of Russia to secure gold.

United States' Anna Gorham, 14, won bronze with a best score of 64.60.

Fellow Briton Madison Rowlands, 14, was seventh with a score of 59.80.

In the men's event, New Zealand's Beau-James Wells scored 90.80 to beat Jake Mageau (82.80) and Birk Irving (77.60) of the United States.
