Man City v Arsenal (Sun, 16:30 BST)

    Arsenal

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta on the criticism Ben White has received for deciding not to be considered for England's recent matches: "He has received a lot of love and you have to see what his team-mates and I think people are happy with him. Hopefully he is able to represent his country one day but that is up to him."

On why White isn't playing for England: "That is a question and he is the one that has to reply. As a manger I want the best for him personally and professionally. He has to feel it."

  2. 'Man City have raised the bar to levels not seen before'published at 14:27 29 March

Man City v Arsenal (Sun, 16:30 BST)

    Arsenal

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta on Manchester City: "We had some clashes in the FA Cup and the Community Shield. They have raised the bar to levels not seen before in football. You have to keep up with that pace and that is what we are trying to do.

"We learned from the level. It's the level we want to be at. We have been getting closer in the last two-three years. We need to close that gap and try to be better than them.

"They have earned the right for everyone to look at them as an example. It has raised our level and demands [us] to try to be like them and beat them."

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta on being in a title race: "I love the energy [around the Arsenal camp], the smiles, they wanted to train yesterday. We have to embrace the moment. We have to go day by day, see where this can take us. Now we have to embrace and enjoy the moment and go for it."

Man City v Arsenal (Sun, 16:30 BST)

    Arsenal

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta on facing Manchester City: "I have full belief and trust in my players. On the pitch we have to show what we can do, off the pitch it is all just talk.

"It's a massive game for both teams because it will give us a massive boost if we win it but there is a lot of games to go after that to win it (the Premier League title)."

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta on Pep Guardiola: "My admiration and what I feel for him hasn't changed. My opinion is he's the best coach in the world by a mile. I have loved working for him and that will remain forever. It is what it is, the relationship changes. You don't feel different about the person but professionally you act differently.

"Probably I would prefer to do it against someone else who I don't have those feelings for but we both want to win and we compete to do that."

  7. 'The whole football calendar needs to be looked at'published at 14:10 29 March

Man City v Arsenal (Sun, 16:30 BST)

    Arsenal

Now let's hear from Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, beginning with his thoughts on the March international break: "In general the whole calendar needs to be looked at. It's a topic that we all know but it doesn't seem like it is being looked at.

"We try to have the best possible communication with the national teams. They have their own pressure and they have to deliver in their roles.

"You can give your opinion and recommend things but I will never get into their position and ultimately it's up to them."

  8. 'We have to give everything'published at 14:06 29 March

Liverpool v Brighton (Sun, 14:00 BST)

    Liverpool

Finally from Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, on the key thing to a good run-in: "Give absolutely everything and ignore the mess you (the media) try to create after every game. After each game you say 'you won it, you lost it, now you are champion, now you are out, now you have no chance, now you have do this'. Just ignore that. Just dig in and go.

"We have to give everything in each and every game. Home and away. It's all tricky and everybody needs luck with injuries, we didn't have it until now but hopefully the boys are coming back. We need them. Then it's about finding a way to win the game.

"We have found a way which is good for us to play. Before the break we had games against Manchester City and Manchester United, and in parts of those, we played some of our best football of the season.

"Now we are back. I would love to say we are reenergised but the boys had games. We play on Sunday but that's enough time to recover [from the international break] and now let's go."

  9. 'Expect a cagey contest'published at 14:01 29 March

Man City v Arsenal (Sun, 16:30 BST)

    Chris SuttonImage source, BBC Sport

I can see this game being as cagey as when these two sides met at the Emirates in October and Arsenal grabbed a late winner.

I don't think there will be a lot of goals this time, either. Again, it is going to be decided by what happens in the big moments rather than one side dominating play, but that just makes it harder to call.

When I think about City's form I am not exactly convinced by some of their recent performances because they have not been as free flowing as they usually are.

They are also yet to beat any other teams in the top five in the league this season... but then you check their results and they have still won 20 of their past 22 games in all competitions.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are top, having scored the most goals in the top flight this season, and conceded the fewest. They also come into this game on the back of eight straight league wins.

If City lose this then they will be four points behind the Gunners with nine games to go and, on the face of it, it could be curtains for them.

But, at times like this, I judge City on how they have delivered in the past, especially at the Etihad.

That's why I am still going to back Pep Guardiola's side, even though they have not quite been at the level they reached last season.

Whatever happens here, though, the title race is not over for anyone. All we have learned so far is that we have got three incredible teams, and I don't see any of them dropping away before the end of the season.

  12. Bajcetic 'nearly back' for Redspublished at 13:54 29 March

Liverpool v Brighton (Sun, 14:00 BST)

    Liverpool

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp on plans to manage midfielder Stefan Bajcetic's return to fitness: "Football brain wise, he is a natural, so he hasn't lost anything. But rhythm is something else. He is now in partial training with the Under-21s and will be in full training with the U21s next week because we will not really train because we are playing all the time. After that he will join our training. Then we will see. He has put a few muscles on and looks good.

"Conor Bradley didn't need long after he was out for a long time as well. [Bajcetic] is a smart kid and I think will be fine. I forgot he'd played for us early in the season and [then] everything went the wrong way but now he's nearly back. I am happy for him and for us."

  13. 'For some it might be too early, for others not'published at 13:49 29 March

Liverpool v Brighton (Sun, 14:00 BST)

    Liverpool

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is asked about whether there is too much expectation on young coaches like Xabi Alonso to take a big job so soon after they finished playing: "I have no idea. I cannot think myself any more in that situation. Do you think he's staying at Leverkusen because it's too quick? I don't think you can compare that. I don't know how much Leverkusen you watch but if you watch them from time to time it's really impressive. He didn't just build on last year.

"They have created a mentality. We won a lot of late games and they won a lot of late games. It's crazy. You cannot say for former players it's like this or like that. For some it might be too early, for others not. I don't know."

  14. Robertson injury 'not bad'published at 13:47 29 March

Liverpool v Brighton (Sun, 14:00 BST)

    Liverpool

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp on his team's injury latest: "I am not sure if Curtis [Jones] is available but he is in training. Ibrahima Konate [missing training] was an extra rest day, nothing else.

"Andrew Robertson, we will take it day by day. He won't train today but it's not as bad, so that's fine. The other boys from next week on are step by step. We will see what we do with that. They aren't too far away, but they're not in yet.

"None are close to team training but they are all making their steps. It's a positive. Darwin Nunez is fine. He did his rehab during the week, trained first day partially, and since then he is in full training."

Personally, I'd like to see Ruben Amiron take over, the stats show that he is very capable and his tactics are pretty similar to Jurgen Klopp's. If we could conceive Pep Lijnders to change his mind that would be wonderful, but I think he wants to move on as well. Julian Nagelsmann would be my third choice, depends how well Germany do in the European Championships though. Roberto De Zerbi? No. Sorry, he doesn't convince me.

  16. Klopp 'understands' Alonso decisionpublished at 13:41 29 March

Liverpool v Brighton (Sun, 14:00 BST)

    Liverpool

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp on Xabi Alonso's decision to stay with Bayer Leverkusen: "One part I can speak about is a young manager where he is doing well. Being at a club in a similar situation, I did pretty much the same and I never regretted it. That's pretty much everything I can say about it.

"He is doing an incredible job there. Leverkusen has a good team and they will probably keep the team together. That's a possibility and not all years it is like that. So I understand that he wants to do that. For the other stuff, I have nothing to say about it. That's it."

We've heard from Erik ten Hag and Pep Guardiola, now Jurgen Klopp and Mikel Arteta will take questions from journalists at their respective news conferences in the next few minutes.

Liverpool boss Klopp will doubtless be asked for his thoughts on Xabi Alonso's decision to stay at Bayer Leverkusen rather than replace him at Anfield.

For Arsenal manager Arteta the focus will be on locking horns with Guardiola on Sunday in a match which could be pivotal in the Premier League title race.

  18. 'Mainoo progress good for Manchester United academy'published at 13:36 29 March

Brentford v Man Utd (Sat, 20:00 GMT)

    Manchester United

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag on Kobbie Mainoo making his England debut and his progress at club level: "I thought Mainoo's performance for England was very good but we are not surprised.

"We have seen that he can adapt very quickly to high levels and it looks very natural to him. Very proud. Good for the academy at Manchester United that they bring a player up so quickly and he goes into England.

"Also good for all the ones who worked with him when he was coming up. Very good for Manchester United. We have discussed this before [his rapid rise] and so far he handles it very well.

"If he crosses the line, of course me as a manager and as coaches, we will interfere but so far it is not necessary. He just wants to have fun on the pitch. For him it is fun to be dominant and control games."

  19. Guardiola 'understands' fans' frustration at price risepublished at 13:33 29 March

Man City v Arsenal (Sun, 16:30 BST)

    Manchester City

Asked if he understands fans being frustrated at a rise in season-ticket prices, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola said "absolutely".

"I know it's a sensitive issue but they will be with us. The people support us unconditionally."

  20. 'When you're consistent with your manager, you always improve'published at 13:30 29 March

Man City v Arsenal (Sun, 16:30 BST)

    Manchester City

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola on Arsenal: "They have the same manager and new players, controlling many aspects of the game. Every time they get better and better. When you are consistent in terms of ideas and your manager, you always improve. When you change, it's always more difficult.

"We've played really well for the last month but always in the first game after the international break, we don't know (what will happen). But we've trained well and we're prepared. We're ready for it again."
