Memories of escape from Wormhoudt massacre

Help

Around 100 British soldiers were killed 70 years ago in the Wolrd War II Wormhoudt massacre .

They were ambushed in the French town and captured by German SS troops as thousands of Allied troops made their way to Dunkirk for the evacuation.

The prisoners were rounded up into a cow shed which was blown up with hand grenades. Two veterans from Llandudno, Conwy, tell their stories to Sarah Easedale.
