A Saudi Arabian prince has denied killing his travelling companion in a London hotel.

Saud Bin Abdulaziz Bin Nasir Bin Abdulaziz al Saud, 33, pleaded not guilty to murdering 32-year-old Bandar Abdullah Abdulaziz.

Mr Abdulaziz's body was found in a room at the Landmark Hotel, in Marylebone, central London, on 15 February 2010.

The prince also pleaded not guilty at the High Court to causing him grievous bodily harm on 27 January 2010.

The prince, who was aided in the dock by an interpreter, spoke only to enter his pleas.

He has been remanded in custody to face trial at the Old Bailey on 4 October.
