Inquiry ordered into handling of doping claims

The government has ordered an inquiry following claims by the Sunday Times that a doctor gave banned, performance-enhancing drugs to elite sports stars - including Premier League footballers.

The paper secretly filmed Mark Bonar, a private doctor in London, claiming to have treated 150 professional athletes.

He says he treated them for medical reasons and denies doing anything wrong. There's no independent evidence that he did treat the athletes.

David Ornstein reports.
