Teenager suffers serious injuries in stabbing

A teenage boy has suffered serious injuries after being stabbed in Sheffield.

Officers were called to a property on Shirecliffe Road in the Burngreave area of the city at 06:18 GMT on Monday.

The boy, 17, was taken to hospital with "serious, but not life-threatening or life-altering injuries", South Yorkshire Police said.

Part of Shirecliffe Road, between Longley Avenue West and Musgrave Road, remained closed as of 08:50 GMT while enquiries continued.

No arrests have yet been made, police said.
