Nine speed humps approved for residential road

A committee approved the measure at a meeting earlier this month

Nine speed cushions are due to be installed along a street in St Neots in order to tackle anti-social driving.
The measures will be introduced along Crosshall Road in the town after a Cambridgeshire County Council committee, external approved the decision.
Ten written representations of objection, and 13 in support, were made as part of a consultation.
The council says speed cushions are a narrower design compared with typical speed bumps, which means larger vehicles can straddle the cushion and generate less noise.
In their comments, some residents claimed the speed cushions would be a waste of money, but another said the road needed to be made safer for children.
In its decision report, the council said: "It represents the best solution in terms of speed management and cost-effectiveness."
Double yellow lines are also due to be painted along parts of Crosshall Road to the north of the St Neots Road roundabout.
