A tribute has been released to Donell Goodall, a cyclist who died following a suspected hit-and-run collision.

The 25-year-old was struck by a car on Brandwood Park Road in Birmingham on the evening of 3 January. He died in hospital a few days later.

"Donell was a family man and for him everything was about his son who is just three years-old," his family said.

West Midlands Police has said it believed the crash involved a silver BMW and the driver failed to stop at the scene. A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and later released on bail.

Mr Goodall was described as a fitness fanatic who was fully committed to his family, the gym and his work.

"Donell was an honest, decent and reliable man. He will always be in our hearts," his family added.
