A man accused of murdering another man in Spalding has appeared at Lincoln Crown Court.

Viktors Zeglovs, 34, denies the murder of Vadims Zmicerevskis, 45, who died after an incident at the junction of Green Lane and St Thomas' Road in Spalding on 11 November last year.

He also denies a second charge of manslaughter relating to the unlawful killing of Mr Zmicerevskis.

Mr Zeglovs remains remanded in custody and Judge Sjolin Knight said his trial would begin at Lincoln Crown Court on 24 November and was expected to last seven days.

Wearing a grey sweatshirt and grey jogging bottoms, Mr Zeglovs spoke only to confirm his name and followed the hearing via a Russian interpreter.

A further pre-trial hearing will take place at Lincoln Crown Court on 19 November.
