A 53-year-old man who died in a street in Leicester has been described as "one of a kind" by his family.

Philip Nutting was found fatally injured by patrolling police officers in Modbury Avenue in the Mowmacre Hill area at about 00:10 BST on Monday.

Police carried out CPR on Mr Nutting before he was pronounced dead by East Midlands Ambulance Service shortly after they arrived.

In a statement, Mr Nutting's family said: "Our beloved Philip - also known as Phil or Phily-B - was a much-loved father, son, brother and uncle."

"Phil touched the lives of everyone he met and was one of a kind," the statement added.

"He was always singing, laughing and was everybody's friend. He was taken far too soon.

"As a family, we will miss his presence always."

Police said two men who were arrested on suspicion of murder were released on bail on Wednesday afternoon.

A third man, 25, was also arrested on suspicion of murder and released with no further action to be taken.
