Great effort: Phyll Babb, who is celebrating her 100th year by walking 100 miles for a homeless charity has reached her 50th walk. The 99 year old, from Salisbury, is walking one mile twice a week to raise funds for Salisbury Trust for the Homeless (STFH).

Historic market: The Shambles market in Devizes is set to undergo a £1m revamp, to include new toilets, more seating and a lobby area. Traders say they have "mixed" opinions to the proposals as they did not want the Grade II-listed building to lose its charm.

The nation's favourite bear was unveiled in Salisbury this week, complete with a marmalade sandwich.

The statue of Paddington in Fisherton Street is one of 23 across the UK which have been unveiled ahead of the release of Paddington in Peru, which will be in cinemas from 8 November.

Damaged windmill: Two sails have been removed from Wilton Windmill, near Malborough, after rotten wood caused them to fall out of place. David Jackson, chairman of the Wilton Windmill Society, said he hoped that they would all be attached again early in 2025.

Endangered: Wiltshire Wildlife Trust has raised £20,000 to help the critically endangered Bechstein bats at Trowbridge's Green Lane Wood Nature Reserve. The money will be used for new bat roosts, ponds, bat monitoring and public education.

Pig parade: Pigs with wings, pigs dressed as animals and a couple of pigs with a Harry Potter theme all featured in the Pig Parade at the Calne Music and Arts Festival, which celebrated its 50th anniversary on 5 October.

Band memorabilia: A 1980s Oxford synthesizer used by Ultravox plus a bass guitar played by Chris Cross is to be sold at auction in Corsham next month, along with a selection of the band's memorabilia from their Live Aid performance nearly 40 years ago.
