A woman was injured after a driver reversed into her while she was trying to help a dog in a parked vehicle.

The woman, aged in her 50s, became concerned for the welfare of a dog in a silver car on Birch Street, Swindon, sometime between 07:00 and 09:00 BST on 25 July.

Wiltshire Police said she tried the door handles before a man appeared and began shouting at her.

He reportedly then got into the car and reversed into the woman, knocking her to the floor, before leaving the scene. She sustained injuries to her head, leg and the side of her body.
