A swimming club has marked its 50th anniversary with a number of special events.
The Jersey Long Distance Swimming Club said it had recorded several firsts in 2024 which included the first amputee to complete a solo swim, the first butterfly circumnavigation of the island and the earliest in the year Jersey to France swim.
The club said it also had introduced a new costume design in 2024 and members had taken part in a drone photoshoot.
Jenny Fitzgerald, the club's president, said it had been a "really fun-filled year" and she felt the club was the "greatest little swimming club in the world".
The club said the highlights included more than 50 swimmers kick-starting the season with a chilly dip at St Catherine's in May and 60 swimmers joining for the first Tuesday night sea swim of the summer.
Ms Fitzgerald, who recently completed her first year as president, said she was "delighted" with the anniversary celebrations and it was "humbling to take the reins of the club on such a significant year".
