Man, 93, seriously injured in hit-and-run

Several people helped the man after he was seriously injured on Monday, police said

A 93-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured and taken to hospital after a hit-and-run crash.

The man was hit in Fleet Road, Fleet, at about 16:30 GMT on Monday, but the driver of the car did not stop.

Several members of the public stopped to help and called an ambulance, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said.

The force has asked anyone who helped or saw what happened to contact officers.
