Police investigating the fatal stabbing of a 19-year-old man in Leeds have made an appeal to trace a suspect sought in connection with his death.

Harry Abbott was stabbed during an altercation in Parkside View, Seacroft, at about 11:50 BST last Wednesday, before being taken in a car to St Wilfrid's Crescent in Harehills, where he died a short time later, West Yorkshire Police said.

Officers are now seeking Alfie Milburn, also aged 19, from the Seacroft/Whinmoor area.

Det Ch Insp Matt Holdsworth said: "I would appeal directly to Alfie to hand himself in. Anyone who is seen to be helping Alfie is committing a crime and will be arrested."

Meanwhile, police confirmed they had made six arrests in connection with the incident.

A 19-year-old man was arrested on Saturday night on suspicion of aggravated burglary and remains in custody.

Three men aged 19, 22 and 27 were arrested earlier this week on suspicion of aggravated burglary. The 27-year-old has been released without charge and the 19 and 22-year-old remain in custody.

A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and has been bailed pending further inquiries.

A 18-year-old woman arrested on Thursday on suspicion of murder remains on bail.

The force renewed its appeal for anyone with information to get in touch.
