Volunteers launch school uniform swap shop

A volunteer-run "swap shop" aimed at helping families struggling with the cost of school uniforms will open in Bradford later.
The Uniform Recycle Shop is launching at the TFD Centre in Holme Wood, where parents will be able to pick up second-hand uniforms or donate items they no longer need.
The launch coincides with a fun day at the centre, run by OutLoud and Bradford Council’s youth service.
The council thanked the volunteers involved and said the service would be a "very welcome resource".
The shop was set up at the suggestion of residents, with support from the local authority and West Yorkshire Police.
Donations needed include polo shirts, shirts, trousers, skirts, school shoes, trainers, blazers, jumpers and cardigans.
The shop will be open on Thursdays at the following times:
25 July - 13:30-15:30 BST
1 August -13:00-15:00 BST
8 August - 18:00-20:00 BST
15 August - 15:00-17:00 BST
Working and non-working families were welcome and would not be required to show evidence of benefits if they lived in the BD4 postcode area, the council said.
Councillor Kamran Hussain, portfolio holder for neighbourhoods and community safety, said: "Unfortunately, the cost of school uniforms is difficult to meet for many families.
"Thank you to those who have set this up and to the volunteers who are going to give up their spare time to help run it."
