Swimmers raised hundreds of pounds for charity by taking a dip in Jersey on Christmas Day.

Jersey Swimming Club said dozens of people took part in its Christmas Day Swim, external event held at the lido at Havre des Pas in St Helier.

The club said temperatures in the lido were 10.5C (50.9F) and a total of £650 was raised in aid of St John Ambulance by people who took part, many of whom wore fancy dress.

The club thanked everyone who took part in the swim and for staff at the lido who helped run the event and served hot drinks and mince pies.
