Police advised pedestrians and road users to avoid Grange Road in Glasgow until further notice

Fire crews are tackling a blaze at a building site in Glasgow.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said seven appliances and a high-reach vehicle had been dispatched to Grange Road in Battlefield at about 14:40 on Monday.

An SFRS spokeswoman said the building affected was an unoccupied eight-storey building which is "under construction,"

Police Scotland said no-one had been injured but Langside Road has been closed until further notice and road users have been advised to avoid the area.
