Castle Wood School would get two new reception classrooms under the plans

A primary school in Coventry has submitted plans for another two classrooms.

An extension would be built in the courtyard of Castle Wood School for admin staff while the current offices would be turned into two extra reception classrooms.

The school had grown rapidly over the past few years and there was a growing pressure on places, the city council said.

If plans were approved, work would start in February next year and aimed to be finished by September 2025.

A council report in April stated that the council planned to increase the number of pupils that can be taken on by schools, by expanding schools where possible.
