Police warning over parking fine phone scam
- Published
Scammers are targeting people in Jersey by sending fake parking penalty charge notices, say police.
Sates of Jersey Police said the message reads: "If you do not pay a PCN within 28 days, you'll get a 'charge certificate' and you'll have 14 days to pay the original fine plus 50% more."
On a social media post, officers said the text messages included a link.
They added: "If you receive this message, do not follow the link and do not share your information."
