Dorset Police received reports of an assault at 16:54 BST on Tuesday at an address in Stourcastle, Sturminster Newton, where the victim is considered to have suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Officers arrested two people from Stuminster Newton - a man, 18, on suspicion of attempted murder, and a woman, 53, on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

A 20-year-old man from Weymouth has also been held on suspicion of attempted murder.

Both male suspects are in custody and the female suspect has been released on police bail.
