A Guernsey football club is planning to launch two new youth tournaments.
St Martin's AC said they planned to launch an island-wide seven-a-side competition and a minis tournament for children aged from five to 11.
The St Martin-based club, known as the Saints, said they expected more than 200 local children to take part.
Matthew Warren, the club's director of sponsorship and fundraising, said the tournaments were "fantastic news for young footballers in Guernsey".
Mr Warren said the competitions were part of an expansion in its programmes for young footballers, made possible by new sponsorship from a local bank.
Equal opportunities
He said the partnership would allow the club to "create even more opportunities for children to get involved, develop their skills, and most importantly, enjoy playing football".
The club was committed to "eliminating discrimination and fostering equal opportunities for all", he added.
Aaron Walden, from sponsors Skipton International, said: "We are thrilled to support Saints, a club that truly represents the values of inclusivity, teamwork and community."
