People in Guernsey are being asked to donate old fabric to a community project making bunting for the 80th anniversary of Liberation Day.
The Liberation Community Bunting Project wants to capture the "make do and mend" spirit of World War Two by decorating St Peter Port in homemade bunting next year.
Megs Bailey, who set up the project, has placed fabric collection bins around the island where people can donate their fabric.
The bunting is set to hang between the Weighbridge roundabout and the Slaughterhouse.

The Liberation Community Bunting Project will hand out bunting bags for people to use
Ms Bailey said she came up with the idea after feeling "a bit frustrated" Liberation Day had started to feel "a bit flat" since the pandemic.
She said she wanted to reinvent Liberation Day's identity as a "celebration of the 1940s" with a "party atmosphere".
"My parents were here during the Occupation and I know all their stories and how hard it was for them," she said.
"I really don't want to see Liberation Day fizzle out."
The fabric donation bins are located at Alliance, Waitrose, Craftwise at Oatlands and at Douzaine Rooms on the island.
Bunting bags
Ms Bailey said the fabric would be used to make "bunting bags" that volunteers could use to create the bunting.
She said she hoped the project would "connect with people across the island".
The bunting bags will be available to community groups, schools and anyone else who wants to take part.
