A Bradford bus driver has been suspended following a complaint about a post on his social media page.

First Bus is investigating content on Facebook which shows an illustration depicting hate towards Muslim people.

The caption "enough is enough", which was not written by the employee but was shared by him from another account, appeared alongside the image.

A screenshot of the Facebook post was shared by an account on X that cited safety concerns for bus passengers.

A spokesperson for First Bus said: "We have been made aware of social media posts by one of our drivers.

"The driver has been suspended pending a formal investigation."

Responding to concerns raised on X, the First Bus West Yorkshire account posted: "We take the safety of our passengers seriously, our internal team has been made aware of this and this would be investigated internally."
