A drug user who left a man dying in the street after stabbing him multiple times has been convicted of murder.
Kian Feve, 22, was found guilty of killing Jack Howes in Grimsby earlier this year after a two-week trial at Hull Crown Court.
Another man, 24-year-old Robert Wattam, was convicted of manslaughter, while a third defendant, 55-year-old Darren Feve, was found guilty of perverting the course of justice.
Police called the actions of all three men "callous and unforgivable".
Mr Howes, 29, was found lying on the ground on Macaulay Way at about 00:30 BST on 20 March following a reported altercation between a group of men, Humberside Police said.
He was taken to hospital but died of his injuries shortly afterwards.
CCTV footage captured Kian Feve, of Southfield Road in Scunthorpe, and Wattam, of Broughton, leaving the scene and the pair were arrested days later.
Both later pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply and possession of Class A drugs. Wattam also admitted a further charge of possession of Class B drugs.
Darren Feve, also of Southfield Road in Scunthorpe, was charged with perverting the course of justice after he told police Kian Feve was with him on the night of the stabbing.
Det Supt Nikki Burnett said: “Kian Feve and Robert Wattam committed a devastating attack on Jack, leaving him for dead in the street, before fleeing the scene.
“I would like to thank Jack’s family who have shown incredible strength throughout the entirety of the investigation.
“The callous and unforgivable actions of all three men have resulted in Jack, a 29-year-old man, losing his life, with Kian Feve, Wattam and Darren Feve refusing to admit to their involvement.
“I am pleased the jury has reached today’s verdict following the hard work by the investigating officers within our major crime team, and I hope this will give Jack’s family some sense of justice having been served.”
The trio will be sentenced on 8 January.
A fourth man, Darren Watson, of Queensway in Scunthorpe, was charged with assisting an offender in relation to the incident, but was acquitted by the jury.
