A yellow rain warning was put in place across Devon and Cornwall due to Storm Ashley.
The Met Office warning, which was in place until midday, included strong winds and heavy rain, with Dartmoor forecast to be among the worst affected areas.
It said bus and train services would likely be impacted, while disruption on the roads could increase journey times and there could be interruption to power supplies.
Cornwall Fire and Rescue said the A390 at Tresillian was closed on Sunday morning due to a fallen tree, which has now been cleared.
