Woman, 81, rescued from water in park

An 81-year-old woman has been rescued from water in a park, police have said.

Greater Manchester Police said she was spotted in trouble at Queen's Park in Heywood at about 07:30 BST.

Emergency services attended the scene where the River Roch flows.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said the woman had been taken to hospital for treatment.
