Fifth man charged over fatal alleyway stabbing

A fifth man has been charged after a man was stabbed to death in Stoke-on-Trent.

Thapelo Jali, 21, was found in an alleyway on Buccleuch Road, Normacot, at about 12:50 BST on 22 July and died at the scene.

Hakim Mohammed, 22, from Normacot, Stoke-on-Trent, has been charged with murder and possession of a knife/sharp pointed article in a public place.

He is due to appear at Stafford Crown Court on Monday.

He appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Thursday and has been remanded into custody.

Ezaan Hussain, 20, Tuheed Hussain, 23, Tayyab Hussain, 26, and Zubair Hussain, 45, all from Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, were charged with murder on Friday.

They are due to appear at Stafford Crown Court on 11 October.
