Alert residents help prevent serious fire damage

A property in Jersey has avoided serious damage following the swift actions of local residents.
The incident happened at about 22:30 BST on Wednesday in St Brelade.
A spokesperson for Jersey Fire and Rescue praised the residents for "not hesitating to call 999".
Crew Cdr Dan Laurens thanked "residents for evacuating their homes and waiting in a safe location for crews to deal with the blaze".
