A stretch of the A417 will be closed while National Highways continues work on the major commuter route.

Leckhampton Hill by Cheltenham will be closed from 5 August to 22 September.

There will be a diversion route in place for the closure, which could add up to 25 minutes to any journeys.

Cotswold Hills Golf Club and National Star College will be open as usual.

From 5 August to 25 August Leckhampton Hill will be closed just past Crickley Hill to the junction of Ullenwood Manor Road.

From 27 August to 22 September, Crickley Hill can be accessed via Leckhampton Road leading into Leckhampton Hill.

Access for emergency services will be fully maintained during the closures.

It is hoped the £460m project will improve traffic to Swindon and Cirencester from Gloucester, with eight lanes of traffic forming the finished project.

The Missing Link is due to open in 2027.
