Rise and shine: "What a way to start the day, a 05:00 sunrise at Bow Fiddle Rock, Portknockie, with Cullen Camera Club," says Claire Meadows after being rewarded with this scene.

"A seal flipped my dinghy upside down to use as a bed," says Fraser Jarvis of this comical scene he awoke to find in Millport Bay. Asked how things progressed, he added: "Happily it went for a swim and I got the dinghy back!"

Pretty in pink: "A lovely start to the day at 05:32," says Charlie Scott of New Pitsligo.

Cold dip: "A female red deer cooling off in a pond in the warmer weather this week," says Ian Talboys. "It was having a touching moment with her fawn. It was taken near Huntly in Aberdeenshire."

A good catch up: "My favourite puffins on the Isle of May," says Mandy Rimmer. "Looks like they’re comparing their catch!"

"I was out walking at Tarbet Isle on Loch Lomond and couldn’t resist having a morning coffee at this new bench," says Charlie McGinn. "What an outstanding view and a great start to the day."

"An unexpected visit from a juvenile white-tailed eagle," says Tony Yeomans, taken off Mull.

"Rattray Head Lighthouse on east coast near Peterhead," says Alex Foxcroft. "Such a stunning location."

Beavering away: "Perfect conditions allowed me to get this shot of a Eurasian Beaver on an evening tour at Argaty Red Kites rewilding estate," says Craig Newton.

Otherwise engaged: "We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in the Hebrides and this is my favourite picture," says Judith Davies.

Victor Tregubov says Bordie Loch is one of the best places to watch dragonflies and damselflies in Scotland.

Nicola Warren captured this picture of a dolphin jumping right out the water, while on a boat trip on the Berwickshire coast. "A moment I will never forget," she says.

"Beautiful display of brilliant blue cornflowers in Kinross," says Debbie Neilson.

Andrew Lavens was the man behind the lens for this guillemot in a flap on the Isle of May.

Calum Smith say he pulled over in his car to photograph these interesting looking clouds after he spotted them on Harris.

"A seven-and-a-half hour walk up'n'down the Water of Leith looking for wildlife and my favourite shot of the day is from before I even got to the river!" says Neil MacNeill.

Anthony Parker caught the "Tall Ship" Glenlee reflected in the windows of the Riverside Museum on the Clyde.

"I was just admiring the view from Queensferry Harbour, when this Hydrofoil boarder came into view and put on an amazing show of talent," says Niall Hammond.

How many caterpillars can you count in this shot, taken by Jemma Calderwood's nine-year-old son Marshall? "They were munching ragwort near Gairlochy. A quick search told us they are Cinnabar moths".

"I've been hiking and climbing in Scotland for over 15 years and never seen wild goats as close as this on the hill," says Adam Gregg while traversing the Aonach Eagach in Glencoe.

Beach toy: "Nessie at Gigha," says Jayne McKie.

"This meerkat at Fife Zoo made me smile," says Trish McGrattan. "I think his stance makes him look like he’s auditioning to model men’s cardigans in a 1970s clothing catalogue!"

The washing was drying quickly when Christine Wilson took this shot at her family croft near Tongue, Sutherland. "It captures a moment where the wind, the sun and the general light were just perfect. The clouds mirror the trees and you can feel the air lifting everything after a day of torrential rain," she says.

Saffron Macivor visited the Orkney beach where 77 pilot whales died after washing ashore in July. "No trace now," she says. You can read more about what happened here: Burial operation for pod of 77 whales

This urban fox has been visiting Tony McKeown's garden recently . "It was a cooler night so I think he wanted to share the heat from the fire pit."

"A picture taken by Duncan Watt of his wife and dog Bozo on Culla beach, Benbecula, where we are holidaying," says Sarah Watt.

Night owl: "I felt very privileged to see this barn owl perched on a fence near the Campsie Fells just as the sun was setting behind the hills," says Sarah Thurlbeck.

Graeme Morrison took this calming shot while on an evening run going through Chryston from Moodiesburn. "Just goes to show how picturesque the west of Scotland can be with a bit of sun."

This atmospheric FC Polska football scene was captured by Dominik Lagowski in Aberdeen.

"Managed to capture the sunset at Turnberry Lighthouse," says Gary Robson.

"Was a lovely evening to be out fishing last night at Monikie Loch, just outside Dundee," says Pete Walls.

"Here is a picture of my daughter Allie about to dive into the North Sea at Lunan Bay at sunset," says Gav Scott. "Lovely end to the day."
