Jersey government provided £63m in grants in 2023

The government gave more than £63.7m in grants to 39 organisations in 2023, a report has found.

The latest report for 2023 found Overseas Aid received the most support with £17.2m, followed by Jersey Heritage Trust with more than £8m.

As part of the annual business plan, the government began publishing its grants in 2010 to ensure "transparency and accountability".

Organisations receiving grants must submit their accounts if it is more than £5,000 or represents more than 50% of its total income.

Jersey Finance Limited was supported with £6.3m, with Beaulieu Convent School and De La Salle College provided with more than £4m collectively.

Other organisations that benefitted from the grants were Digital Jersey, Shelter Trust and the Jersey Battle of Flowers.
