Boulders falling from cliffs prompts beach warning
- Published
Rangers at a beach on Dorset's Jurassic Coast have issued a warning after large boulders rolled down from the cliffs.
Lulworth Estate's ranger team said more rockfall had been noticed, including several large boulders above a landslip at Lulworth Cove.
Urging visitors to the area be extra cautious, the estate said the movement on the cliffs followed recent heavy rain.
A large section of cliff collapsed on to the beach in February.
It followed a major landslip at the same cove several weeks before after days of heavy rainfall.
People are being told to avoid cliff edges or walking under cliffs on the beach.
The Met Office, external has issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain across southern England during Friday following a similar alert on Thursday.
