Trial delayed for man accused of killing wife

The trial of a man accused of murdering his wife as she pushed their baby in a pram has been delayed until next summer.
Habibur Masum, 26, had been due to stand trial on 2 December over the fatal stabbing of Kulsuma Akter.
Ms Akter, 27, was attacked as she pushed her baby in Bradford city centre on 6 April. The baby was unharmed.
Due to issues with a psychiatric report being available, the trial has been postponed to 9 June 2025.
At a hearing earlier this year, Mr Masum, of Leamington Avenue in Burnley, pleaded not guilty to murdering his wife and possession of a bladed article.
Mr Masum also denied two counts of assault by beating, one charge of making threats to kill and one charge of stalking, all against Ms Akter.
Mr Masum is accused of stalking Ms Akter between November 2023 and April 2024, with the charge alleging he "tracked her movements and located her at a safe house, sent her messages of a menacing nature which contained threats to kill another and photos and videos of the area and premises where she was residing".
Mr Masum has been remanded in custody since his arrest in April.
