A car park has been cordoned off after a serious assault in a Wiltshire town.

It took place in the Dammas Lane car park in Swindon, opposite Kioki nightclub, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Wiltshire Police have placed a cordon in the car park and a red car has been covered with a blue tent.

The force have asked people to avoid the area while officers conduct their investigation.

Anyone who witnessed the assault is urged to contact the police.
