Plan for retail store and allotments near Inverness

A large retail store and allotments have been proposed for a site in the east side of Inverness.
Household goods chain Home Bargains is expected to operate the 3,252 sq-metre shop, garden centre and café near Smithton.
Another 4,900 sq-metre of land on the same site would be used for community-run allotments.
The plan is due to go before Highland Council's south planning applications committee next week and planning officials have recommended councillors approve them.
The proposal is near an area where there has been a significant amount of house-building over the last 10 years.
The developments include Culloden West.
