Services disrupted after person hit by train

Railway journeys between Norfolk and London were disrupted after a person was hit by a train.

Greater Anglia said it happened between Shenfield and Chelmsford, and emergency services had been sent.

The train company said the routes affected were between London Liverpool Street and Norwich, Ipswich, Clacton, Colchester Town and Braintree.

Greater Anglia's post on X, external said: "Train services running through these stations [Shenfield and Chelmsford] may be cancelled, delayed or revised. Disruption is expected until further notice."
