A man who admitted killing his wife has been sentenced to a period in a psychiatric hospital.
Police were called to Rochfords Gardens in Slough, Berkshire, on Valentine's Day where they found 53-year-old Brigitta Rasuli with serious injuries.
She died in hospital two weeks later on 1 March.
Samir Rasuli, 58, pleaded guilty at Reading Crown Court to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.
At sentencing on 21 August, Rasuli was given a hospital order with a restriction order.
In a statement, Ms Rasuli's twin sister Timea, paid tribute to the "devoted mother, daughter and sister".
She said: "Brigi and I were very close, and a part of me died with her on that tragic day.
"What happened to her is a senseless tragedy that could have been prevented.
"Nothing will ever fill the void that she has left behind.
"May my dear sister rest in peace. All the members of her family in Hungary will keep her in our hearts forever."
Det Ch Insp Laura Corscadden added: "We know the emotional impact of this tragedy has been profound for the immediate family and for those who hold close relationships with both individuals.
"The grief and complexity of this loss are deeply felt and no outcome can truly bring comfort or resolution."
