Police are investigating an "unexplained" death after the body of a man was found in Manchester.

Emergency services were called to Great Western Street, Moss Side earlier.

Greater Manchester Police said it was working to identify the body and the circumstances which led to his death.

A blue forensic tent was put up in an alleyway to the rear of the street, and police have been carrying out house-to-house enquiries.
