The Local Plan sets out the development of the city until 2042

  • Published

People in Wolverhampton are being asked for their views on the latest council plans for regenerating, developing and investing in the city over the next 20 years.

Initial consultation took place earlier this year to seek public feedback on proposals.

The council has now updated the plan based on that feedback, and has once again invited people to give their thoughts before the final document is sent to the government.

It outlines a vision for the city up to 2042.

People have until 9 January to take part in the consultation process.

The council said it wanted feedback on the "soundness" of the plan - meaning whether it covered everything it should, and whether it could be delivered.

People can take part on the council's website, external or in person at three drop-in events.

These will be at the Civic Centre on 4 December and at the central library on 5 and 7 December.

The council is aiming to formally adopt the Local Plan in mid-2026.
