Man suffers serious injuries in suspected stabbing

Emergency crews were called to Fieldhead Road on Monday afternoon

A man has suffered injuries believed to be "life-altering" in a suspected stabbing in Sheffield, according to police.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service said its crews were called to the scene on Fieldhead Road at about 17:30 GMT on Monday, with police attending shortly afterwards.

The victim, 34, was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries and a cordon remained in place on Monday evening while officers continued their investigations, a South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said.

Anyone who saw what happened, or who had information about the incident, was asked to get in touch, they added.
