An investigation is set to begin into a large barn fire where firefighters found 45 bales of hay alight.

Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue was called to the incident in Kings Cliffe shortly after 14:00 BST on Tuesday.

Two fire engines from Corby attended the blaze, and crews remain on the scene to fully extinguish the fire.

Residents of King's Cliffe have been advised to keep their windows and doors closed, the service said.

Firefighters were also assisted by the water bowser from Kettering to help stop the spread of fire.

The fire service said its investigators would attend the scene to try and determine the cause of the fire.
